Psychiatry deals with the origin, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. Behavioral medicine is a branch of medical psychology that deals with the complex relationships between a person's personality, behavior, and physical health.

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine provides a portion of the M2 curriculum and a required eight-week M3 clerkship.
