PATRICK TRACY, M.D.

Dr. Patrick Tracy has been a part of our community since he attended Medical School at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP). He has held many appointments at UICOMP including his current position of Clinical Associate Professor of Neurological Surgery.

A leader among his peers, Dr. Tracy has been involved in professional associations at the local, state, national and international level. He has served in various capacities within the Illinois State Neurological Society including President in 2000-2001. He is also a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, American Pain Society and Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Joint Section, Cerebrovascular Surgery (CNS/AANS).

Dr. Tracy is on staff at all three Peoria hospitals and Pekin Hospital. He is currently the Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at Methodist Medical Center of Illinois. He is extensively published including the chapter, A History of Neuroanesthesia, in the book A History of Neurosurgery.

Dr. Tracy and his wife, Elizabeth, have one son and one daughter.
