Dr. Tsung obtained his undergraduate degree at
Washington University with specific interests in chemistry and
physical chemistry. He went on to medical school at Southern
Illinois University where he distinguished himself by obtaining USMLE scores exceeding 265/99 and being inducted into Alpha
Omega Alpha (AOA) as a third-year medical student. Currently,
his areas of research are in spinal cord injury (SCI) therapy
utilizing human stem cells. Secondary areas of research include
the investigation of the roles of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs)
in metastatic melanoma. As a PGY6, Dr. Tsung will be the
Chief Resident this year.
