Jalovec, MD, FACS
Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery
General Surgery, specializing in Diseases of the Breast
An Illinois native, Dr. Jalovec graduated Summa Cum Laude
from Bradley University in Peoria with a degree in Biology.
She received her doctorate in medicine in 1982 from the
University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria where
she also completed a General Surgery Residency in 1987. She
has been a member of our faculty and in private practice in
Peoria since 1987. Dr. Jalovec is board certified in General
Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. She has a special
interest in Breast Surgery.
Dr. Jalovec is active in many surgical societies including
President of the Illinois Chapter of the American College of
Surgeons from 1998 to 2000 and Illinois State Chair for
Cancer Liaison Physicians for the American College of
Surgeons from 1994 to 2000.
