J. Kevin Paulsen, M.D., FACS
Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery
General Surgery
Dr. J. Kevin Paulsen was born in Harvard, Illinois and
attended elementary and high school in Woodstock, Illinois.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of
Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana and his medical degree
from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at
Peoria. Dr. Paulsen completed his Surgical Internship at
Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan and his Residency
in General Surgery at the University of Illinois College of
Medicine at Peoria.
Dr. Paulsen has been on our faculty since 1978 and is
Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery. He is the Director
of the Board Review Conference.
Dr. Paulsen is board certified in General Surgery by the
American Board of Surgery and is on the active staff of all
three Peoria hospitals.
Dr. Paulsen and his wife reside in the Peoria area with
their two daughters.
